Oktobeerfest

On September 23rd, 2023, Raptor Hallow Sanctuary hosted its exhilarating Oktobeerfest Run, drawing in over 100 enthusiastic participants. Set against a backdrop of a radiant sunny day, runners relished in the unique experience of stopping at four checkpoints, spaced every quarter mile, where they were treated to a choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The day was not only about the run but also the joy of community, refreshments, and the shared laughter under the sun. It was truly an event where fun was had by all and went towards a great cause of supporting Raptor Hallow Sanctuary and our collaboration partner, Beech Creek Botanical Gardens.

Sponsors this year for the run were:

Edinburg Corner Store

Sugardale Freshmark

The Hidden Abbey Event Center

Oktobeerfest Run: Fun, Fitness, and Philanthropy!

Each year, as the autumn leaves start to fall, Raptor Hallow Sanctuary, in collaboration with Beech Creek Botanical Gardens, hosts the exhilarating Oktobeerfest Run. This unique event merges the thrill of a run with the festive spirit of Oktoberfest, offering participants checkpoints stocked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

But the Oktobeerfest Run is more than just a celebration; it's a mission. As a pivotal annual fundraiser, the funds raised from the event directly support both our non-profits. At Raptor Hallow Sanctuary, every dollar goes a long way, aiding in the care of our animals and crafting engaging educational programs. These programs, both on-site and off-site, serve as a bridge to the community, fostering awareness, understanding, and appreciation of our natural world.

By joining the Oktobeerfest Run, you're not just signing up for an invigorating run and a good time; you're becoming an integral part of our continued efforts to make a positive difference.
